Masato Kimura, 86, of Kalopa died July 22, 2013, at the North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Paauilo, he was a retired truck driver for the former Hamakua Sugar Co. He was also a member of Paauilo Hongwanji Mission & Kyodan, Kaapahu Community Club, Paauilo Senior Citizens, ILWU Pension Club and the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War.
Friends may call from 3 to 4 p.m. Aug. 9 at the Paauilo Hongwanji Mission, where a memorial service begins at 4 p.m. The family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by wife, Kazue Kimura of Kalopa; daughters, Laureen (Craig) Nakamoto of Iowa, Mayette Drake of Honokaa; brother, Harutoku Kimura of Volcano; four grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Goro Kajiyama
Goro Kajiyama, 89, of Pahoa died July 23, 2013, at the Hilo Medical Center. Born Jan. 31, 1924, in Kapoho, he was a retired crane operator for the former Puna Sugar Co. He was also a member of the Higashi Hongwanji Mission in Hilo, Pahoa Kumiai, and Pahoa Nikkei Jin Kai.
Visitation will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m Aug. 9 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo, where a memorial service begins at 5:30 p.m. The family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.
He is survived by wife, Eiko Kajiyama of Pahoa; daughter, Sandra Arriola of Hawaiian Beaches; son, Daryl (Pearl) Kajiyama of Ainaloa; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces.

Roderick Paul Frost, 63, of Ocean View died July 15, 2013 at Kona Community Hospital. Born Jan. 30, 1950, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, he was a medical technician at Veterans Administration Hospital of Omaha, active volunteer in the Ocean View community and U.S. Air Force veteran.

Santiago Aguda Agcaoili, 81, of Kurtistown died July 28, 2013, at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born Jan. 9, 1932, in Pahala, Ka’u, he was a retired principal of The Hawaii School for the Deaf and the Blind in Honolulu. He also was an active member of the Hilo United Methodist Church, the Prostate Support Group, Huina Road Kumiai and U.S. Army veteran.
Friends may call Aug. 9 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, where visitation will take place from 10 to 11 a.m. and a celebration of life at 11 a.m. The family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers. A private urn committal at a later date.

Leroy Fook Yau Chow, 77, of Hilo died July 19, 2013, at the Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired automotive parts clerk for the former Hilo Motors. He was also a member of Hui Okinawa, Papaikou Senior Softball Team, Hilo Teachers Mixed Handicap League and Thursday P.M. Seniors Bowling League.
A celebration of his life will begin at 10 a.m. Aug. 10 at the Papaikou Community Center. The family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers. Pupu and desserts are welcome.
He is survived by wife, Frances Chow of Hilo; sons, Elroy (Joan) Chow of Hilo, Delroy Chow of Hilo, LeRoy (Shanel) Chow of Kurtistown, Royson Chow of Seattle; daughters, LeAnne (Rex Barker) Chow of Seattle, RoAnne Chow of Seattle; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
