HI-PAL offers August events

The Police Department is hosting several HI-PAL and “Click it or Ticket” events this month.

The Jimmy Yagi Hoops Camp, in which the HI-PAL program and the “Click It Or Ticket” message are featured, ends today. HI-PAL sponsors this Department of Parks and Recreation event.

A 3-on-3 basketball tournament will be held Aug. 17 at the Honokaa Sports Complex. This event is open to teams of boys 5 to 6, 7 to 8, 9 to 10, 11 to 12, and 13 to 14; and girls 10 and younger, 12 and younger, and 14 and younger. The deadline to register is Aug. 12.

A “Click it or Ticket” Volleyball Tournament is planned Aug. 31 at the Papaaloa gymnasium in Laupahoehoe. Further information is forthcoming.
