Grace Eiko Kaiawe, 80, of Captain Cook died June 24, 2013, at her residence. Born Aug. 21, 1932, in Kainaliu, she was a tour conductor for Jack’s Tours and Roberts Hawaii’s Japanese groups, office manager for DK Trucking and clerk at the Police Department in Captain Cook. She was a member of the Kona Daifukuji Orchid Club, American Orchid Society and Kingsley Kumiai.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. Aug. 10 at the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort and Spa’s Convention Center, where a celebration of life begins at 11 a.m. The family requests aloha attire be worn.

She is survived by sons, Richard (Johnnalyn) Kaiawe, Dwight (Charli) Kaiawe, all of Kealakekua, Dean Kaiawe of Captain Cook; daughter, Lani Ng of Kealakekua; sisters, May Oekawa of Mililani, Gertrude Go of Honolulu; nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
