HONOLULU (AP) — The former Sizzler restaurants have closed on Oahu.

The company that earlier this year lost the Sizzler brand has shut its last three restaurants, laying off about 100 full- and part-time workers.

GoKo Steak and Salad Bar Restaurants asked a federal bankruptcy court to convert is reorganization into a liquidation action.

GoKo owner Clinton Goo says a major factor for closing was Hawaii’s high costs to conduct business.

Sizzler had been operating in Hawaii for about five decades, and GoKo was the operator for about a decade.
