West Hawaii Hui Laulima will meet from 10:30 a.m. to noon Friday at the West Hawaii Community Health Center’s first floor community meeting room.
Representatives of the Next Steps Committee, which is comprised of members of the Marshallese communities in West Hawaii and the agencies that serve them, will discuss the committee’s evolution, focus and plans. Speakers include Rebecca Transue of Enhanced Healthy Start, Embi Jude of the Kona Marshallese Constitution Day Committee, and Deputy Attorney General John Powell.
In addition, Paul Strauss, Hawaii District Health Office’s new public health educator, will talk about his position and field questions.
