Wyland is celebrating 35 years of ocean awareness, marine conservation and some of the most colorful fine art on the planet, found in more than 25 galleries worldwide.

Wyland, who first appeared in Kailua-Kona 25 years ago, will commemorate this milestone by visiting his Oceanfront Gallery at Waterfront Row from 6 to 10 p.m. July 26 and 27.

In the midst of his U.S. tour, he will visit 20 cities in 16 weeks, sharing his gift of art and conservation. He will unveil his newest works and share the latest on his travels, news and environmental outreach projects.

The show is open to the public. Wyland will paint and sketch, sign his coffee-table books and pose for photographs with new collectors. His original sketches will be sold for less than $700, framed. Those who make purchases of $700 or more will also receive a mahalo gift. Events include refreshments, balloons for children and art raffles.

The gallery is located at 75-5770 Alii Dr. at Waterfront Row in Kailua-Kona, next to Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. restaurant.
