Deanna Dalisay Conarton

Deanna “Dee” Dalisay Conarton, 73, of Pahoa, died June 10, 2013, at The Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu. Born April 16, 1940, in Hilo, she was a retired cashier for Da Store.

Friends may call at 6 p.m. July 17 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 7 p.m. service. A graveside committal service will be held at 11:30 a.m. July 18 at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. The family requests casual attire be worn.

She is survived by sons, Bruce (Lei Cabrera) Conarton and Reginald (Che) Conarton Jr., both of Pahoa; daughter, Paulette (John) Kamakana, of Ewa Beach, Oahu; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Miyoko Sugano

Miyoko Sugano, 81, of Mountain View, died June 30, 2013, at the Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired professor of English at the University of Hawaii at Hilo.

Friends may call at 9:30 a.m. July 18 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 10:30 a.m. celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Hospice of Hilo.

She is survived by niece, Barbara Sugano, of California; nephews, Richard Sugano and Warren Sugano, both of Honolulu.

Reginald Koyama

Reginald Takeo Koyama, 73, of Hilo, died June 29, 2013, at the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born on Oahu, he was a commercial artist.

He is survived by son, Anson (Mari) Koyama, of Hilo; brothers, Ronald Koyama and Glenn (Judy) Koyama, both of Oahu; sister, Linda (Richard) Inamasu, of Maui; numerous nieces and nephews.

Enayat Ghalamfarsa

Enayat “Mr. G” Ghalamfarsa, died June 19, 2013, in Kona. He was born in Shiraz, Iran, and practiced as an attorney and judge in Iran, before making Hawaii his home.

He is survived by wife, Victoria; three children, Ali, Marjan and Naghmeh; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Laura Manuel-Arrighi

Laura Kalua Manuel-Arrighi, 52, died July 2, 2013, in Temple, Texas. Born Sept. 19, 1960, in Honolulu, she was retired from the Catholic Charities of Hawaii, a former employee of C&C Honolulu and a former Honolulu City Council secretary.

She is survived by husband, Paul Arrighi; sons, John Manuel IV, of Arizona, and Alfred Manuel, of Honolulu; daughters, Kuuleialoha (Henry) Provencal, of Texas, and Alisa (Steven) Manuel, of Honolulu; mother, Hannah Mahi-Wilson, of Kona; brothers, Thomas Wilson, of Hilo, Chico McNeal and Curtis Wilson, both of Kona, and Herbert and Edla Jr. Wilson, of Honolulu; hanai brother, Jimmie Brede, of Honolulu; sisters, Francine Rosa, Leianna Keaweehu, Geraldine Mahi-Kalaukoa, and Michelle Molina, all of Honolulu, Ellen Richards, Pomai Mahi and Joan Bright, all of Hilo, Dora Nihoa, Tirza Otani, and Treva Alvis, all of Kona; and five grandchildren.
