Thomas Tsutomu Araki, 86, of Honaunau, died June 26, 2013, at Kona Community Hospital. Born June 21, 1927, in Olaa, he was a coffee farmer, restaurant cook, aikido instructor, musician, fish cutter, former security guard for Kona Hilton Hotel, custodian for Honaunau School and an Army veteran.

He is survived by companion, LeeAnne Alu of Napoopoo; hanai daughter, Zorana (Gary) Acol of Las Vegas; sisters, Laura (Yoshi) Yano of Kealakekua, Betsy (Robert) Ban of Captain Cook; brother, John (Annie) Araki of Honolulu; two hanai grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
