Cliff Johns Gallery hosts a reception and exhibit from 6 to 8 p.m. today showcasing the work of 31 island artists representing a variety of media. On display will be Johns’ newest work “Pole Dancer,” a turned and carved sculpture in aromatic cedar, which recently earned him the Artists Choice and People’s Choice awards at the 2013 Big Island Woodturners Show.
