Cliff Johns Gallery hosts a reception and exhibit from 6 to 8 p.m. today showcasing the work of 31 island artists representing a variety of media. On display will be Johns’ newest work “Pole Dancer,” a turned and carved sculpture in aromatic cedar, which recently earned him the Artists Choice and People’s Choice awards at the 2013 Big Island Woodturners Show. The gallery is in Mango Court in Kainaliu. Pupu and beverages will be served. Special to WHT
