A vehicle accident involving a tractor-trailer has closed Highway 19 at mile marker 55, in the vicinity of the Department of Hawaiian Homelands’ West Hawaii Office in Waimea.
Police reported the road closure, near Iokua Place, about 7:45 a.m. The highway is closed in both directions and police do not know how long the closure will remain in effect.
