Charles Comer

Charles “Sonny” F. Comer, 80, of Mountain View died June 3, 2013, at Hilo Medical Center. Born April 28, 1933, in Honolulu, he was a retired wastewater supervisor for the Wastewater Division City and County of Honolulu, a foster parent and member of the New Hope Christian Fellowship in Mountain View.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. June 11 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for an 11 a.m. service. Burial is at Homelani Memorial Park (Ilima Section). Family requests aloha attire be worn. Flowers are welcome.

He is survived by wife, Gwendolyn Comer of Hilo; sons, Myles Comer and Garen Comer, both of Hilo, David (Tracie) Comer of Lacey, Wash., Glen (Verna) Machado of Makaha, Oahu, Earl (Cody Turner) Reed of Las Vegas, Charles Comer Jr. of Kailua, Oahu, Reginald (Barbara) Kamanu of Kahuku, Oahu; daughters, Irene (Kimo) Davidson of Makaha, Oahu, Michelle Comer of Oahu; sister, Mildred Warsham of Waianae, Oahu; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
