Barbara Mitsuko Tanigawa, 91, of Hilo died May 18, 2013, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honokaa, she was a homemaker.
Private services were held. Family requests no flowers or monetary gifts.
She is survived by son, Paul (Joette) Tanigawa of Hilo; daughters, Sharon Tanigawa and Jo Ann (Chuck) Habakangas, both of Washington; sisters, Edith Fukuyama of Oahu, Jean Hatada of Hilo; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
