Big Island police have released the suspect who was arrested Thursday in connection with a robbery at the Hamakua Coast Community Federal Credit Union in Pepeekeo.
After conferring with prosecutors, detectives released 37-year-old Kris R. Villasista of Honomu at 11:20 a.m. Saturday pending further investigation, according to the Hawaii Police Department.
Area I Criminal Investigations Section detectives are continuing the investigation.
