No tsunami following Taiwan earthquake
No tsunami was triggered by a magnitude-6.5 earthquake that struck Saturday night near Taichung, Taiwan. The earthquake hit at 7:43 p.m. Hawaii time, according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center. Its depth was registered at about 6 miles.
