One lane of Highway 11 has reopened following a single car crash Saturday morning north of the Fujihara store in South Kona.

The road was closed shortly before 6 a.m. after a car struck a utility pole on the makai side of the highway, according to the Hawaii Police Department. The road partially reopened at 12:35 p.m.

Hawaii Electric Light Co. crews remain on scene. HELCO did not have an estimated time of completion as of 3:45 p.m.
