Both lanes of Highway 11 have reopened following a single car crash Saturday morning north of the Fujihara store in South Kona.
The road was closed shortly before 6 a.m. after a car struck a utility pole on the makai side of the highway, according to the Hawaii Police Department. The road partially reopened at 12:35 p.m.
Hawaii Electric Light Co. completed work about 5:45 p.m. and the road was reopened shortly thereafter. Power has been restored to the 20 customers who lost power because of the downed utility pole.
