Tom Yamane
Tom Tomoyoshi Yamane, 88, of Hilo died May 24, 2013, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Dec. 20, 1924, in Hilo, he was retired from Hawaii Community College as a vocational educational coordinator and member of Hilo Meishoin Buddhist Temple and Wreckers Golf Club.
Friends may call at 3 p.m. June 1 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 4 p.m. service. Family requests casual attire and no flowers.
He is survived by wife, Misao Yamane of Hilo; sons, James (Kaan) Yamane of Thailand, Robert (Noreen) Yamane of Hilo; brother, Haru (Liz) Yamane of Hilo; sister, Saeko (Nobu) Imade of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
