Perfecto S. “Paul” Aniban, 82, of Keaau died May 22, 2013, at Hale Auenue Restorative Care Center in Hilo. Born March 7, 1931, in Kealakekua, he was a bell captain at the Hilo Lagoon, papaya grower, retired tractor operator for Puna Macadamia Nut Farms and member of the Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pahoa.

Friends may call at 8 a.m. May 31 at St. Joseph Catholic Church for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial is 11 a.m. at Homelani Memorial Park (Ilima Section). Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by wife, Sarah Aniban of Keaau; sons, Wayne (Radhika) Aniban of Waipahu, Oahu, Patrick (Ohia) Aniban of Kihei, Maui, William (Manuela) Alani of Lahaina, Maui; daughters, Lyla Aniban of Wailuku, Maui, Paulette (Alex Kaleo) Pacheco of Keaau, Roxanne (Viktor) Lawcock of Kurtistown; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
