Joseph Gonsalves Pedro, 73, of Naalehu died April 19, 2013, at Ka‘u Hospital. Born Sept. 16, 1939, in Naalehu, he was a retired harvesting supervisor for Ka‘u Sugar Plantation Co.
Friends may call oat 8 a.m. June 1 at Naalehu Sacred Heart Catholic Church for a 10 a.m. Mass. Urn burial is at Naalehu Community Cemetery. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by wife, Mary Jane Pedro of Naalehu; hanai sons, Raymond (Zenaida) Paglinawan, Clarence Alcoran Sr. and Rolland (Shannon) Alcoran, all of Naalehu, Clarence Alcoran Jr. and Curtis (Kasey) Alcoran, both of Kona; sisters; Lucille Sesson of Pahala, Loretta (Lonnie) Enyeart of Mesa, Ariz., AnnaMae (Lawrence) Jones and Marjorie Pedra, both of Naalehu, Florence (Franklin) Paiva of Honokaa; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
