Friends may call at 9 a.m. May 25 at Borthwick Hawaii Funeral Home for a 10:30 a.m. service.
He is survived by daughters, Charlene Sugahara of Washington, Sharon (Sonny) Shimaoka of Waimea, Leomi (Lars) Bergknut, Leona (George Gibo) Sugahara and Melanie (Clayton Mehau) Sugahara, all of Hilo ; sisters, Harue Okada of Honolulu, Minako Hefty of Chicago, Yaeko Kitajima of California; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
