Mamoru Sakamoto, 99, of Kapaau died May 17, 2013, at Kohala Hospital. Born Feb, 22, 1914, in Kohala, he was a warehouse clerk at Kohala Sugar Co. and member of Hawi Jodo Mission.
Friends may call at 1 p.m. May 25 at the Hawi Jodo Mission in Hawi for a 2 p.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by wife, Akimi Sakamoto of Kapaau; daughters, Lea Kei of Kihei, Maui, Mae (Glenn) Oyama of Aiea, Oahu; son, Steve (Lori) Sakamoto of Honolulu; five grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; a niece; two nephews.
