Woodrow Christopher Hoke, 95, of Hilo died March 26, 2013, at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Born Feb. 27, 1918, in Honolulu, he was a retired bartender in San Francisco, worked for Matson Lines and U.S. President Lines and served in the Civilian Conservation Corps, U.S. Engineering Division and Merchant Marines.

A graveside service will take place at 1:30 p.m. May 23 at Oahu Cemetery. Family requests casual attire be worn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Online condolences may be posted at homelanimemorialpark.com.

He is survived by sons, Woodrow Hoke Jr. of Rohnert Park, Calif., Anthony (Marie) Hoke of Volcano, Francis Hoke of Dallas, Scott (Robyn) Hoke of Twentynine Palms, Calif., Michael (Cynthia) Enanoria of Napa, Calif.; daughter, Beverly (Michael) Thome of Novato, Calif.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
