Frank Kawaauhau Jr., 73, of Hilo died April 22, 2013, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Aug. 18, 1939, in, Waiohinu, he was a supervisor for the Hawaiian Tug and Barge Co. and Young Brothers Ltd., a tour bus driver and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Keaukaha Ward) in Hilo and Keaukaha Golf Club, Hawaiian Golf Club and the Puhi Bay Gang.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. May 4 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Stake Center) in Hilo for an 11 a.m. service. Cremation follows. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.

He is survived by wife, Paula Kawaauhau of Hilo; daughters, Ronda Kawaauhau and Kehaulani Kawaahau, both of Honolulu, Lacey Kawaauhau and Pua Kawaauhau, both of Hilo; stepsons, Albert (Lisa) Rezentes and Mark (Laura) Rezentes, both of Hilo; sisters, Diana (Bob) Terukina and Kloh-Ann (Charles) Drummondo, both of Waimea, Luana (Paul) Billington of Arlington, Texas, Mindy (Patrick) Kawaauhau of Maui; brothers, Anthony (Lani) Kawaauhau of Hawaiian Ocean View Estate, Alika Kawaauhau of Honolulu; eight grandchildren; numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
