Dennis Ronaldo DeLeon Sr., 61, of Kailua-Kona and Lahaina, Maui, died April 21, 2013, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Aug. 19, 1951, in Kealakekua, he was a former bus driver for Honolulu C&C MTL, Roberts of Hawaii Kona and Dollar Rent A Car, a truck driver for Maui Pineapple Co. and retired security officer for Napili Kai Resort on Maui.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. May 4 at Solid Rock Ministries Kona for a 10:30 a.m. service. Scattering of ashes will be at 2 p.m. at Kamoa Point (Lyman’s). Loose flowers are welcome. He is survived by wife, Clare DeLeon of Lahaina, Maui; daughter, Denise (Andy) Alavazo, of Lahaina, Maui; sons, Dennis (Tweet) DeLeon Jr. of Honolulu, Robert (Charity) DeLeon and Justin (Summer) DeLeon of Kailua-Kona; mother, Julia Luat of Kealakekua; brothers, Stephen (Alberta) Duarte of Pukalani, Maui, John (Joanna) De Leon of Hilo, Earl De Leon of Kainaliu, Richard (Karen) De Leon of Kihei, Maui, Chris (Evelyn) De Leon of Kealakekua, Ben De Leon of Maui; sister, Sylvia Simpson of Tennessee; stepmother, Erline De Leon of Kailua-Kona; 17 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
