Ginger Anne Sandell has been selected to exhibit paintings at the International New York Parallex Art Fair May 10 through 13. At the heart of the fair is the practical exploration of new and radical ideas that developed within the professional discipline of art history.
Sandell paints in an expressionistic, impressionistic manner. Her “Shelter” is painted with a “magical realistic” technique. Sandell believes painting is both a tactile and spiritual experience. She said art can be used to cross cultural and language barriers so the artist connects with her patrons.
Her “Tree of Life” represents the sacrifice that mothers make for their children. Sandell works primarily in oils and experiments with various methods including glazing, drip and direct painting. She mostly paints landscapes and seascapes.
Sandell’s paintings are displayed at the Rumley Art Gallery in King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel and Living Arts Gallery in Hawi.
