Hannah Roselani Polido, also known as Hannah Roselani “Mawai” (Nakagawa Kaholoaa) Polido, 82, of Pahala, died March 25, 2013, in Pahala. Born July 27, 1930, in Waipio Valley, she was retired from Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Co. of Pahala and a volunteer at Ka‘u Hospital.

Friends may call at 5 p.m. April 26 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 7 p.m. service. Friends may also call from 6 to 7 p.m. April 27 and again from 9 to 10 a.m. April 28 at the family residence in Pahala for services. Burial is at 11:30 a.m. at Naalehu Community Cemetery. Family requests casual attire be worn. Flowers are welcome.

She is survived by sons, Solomon Polido of Hilo, Edward (Sandra) Polido and Rick (Erika Koi) Polido, both of Pahala, Ken (Jo Ann) Polido of Kurtistown; daughters, Susan (Antonio) Lebehn of Kona, Madelina (Edward) Martinez, Elizabeth Polido, Gay (Frank) Venneri and Lorna (Raymond) Polido-Kalili III, both of Pahala, Ruth (William) Kahele and Belinda Polido, both of Hilo, Marilyn (Martin Atwood) Polido and Rachel (Dorson Behrendt) Kaholoaa, both of Hawaiian Ocean View Estate; brothers, Solomon (Bobbie) Kaholaa of Hilo, William (Caroline) Kaholaa of Molokai, Jeremiah (Raina) Kaholoaa of Maui, Freddie (Charlye) Kaholoaa of Kurtistown, Derwin (Geri) Kaholoaa of Honokaa; 37 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
