Akiko Momohara, 82, of Laupahoehoe died March 15, 2013, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Mountain View, she was a retired sales clerk with the former Papaaloa Community Store and member of Papaaloa Hongwanji Mission Kyodan and Fujinkai.
Private family services were held. Family requests no monetary gifts.
She is survived by sisters, Miye Yagi of Maui, Yukiko (Isamu) Shiroma of California; caregiver, Grace Andres of Hil; numerous nieces and nephews.
