Kenneth William Kush, 69, of Kailua-Kona died March 28, 2013, at his residence. Born in 1943 in Chicago, he retired as a Navy chief petty officer, taught scuba diving and led tours for Kona Coast Divers, worked at Costco for several years, and finished the Waikoloa Lavaman triathlon twice.

Services will be held at a later date.

He is survived by wife, Barbara Kush of Kailua-Kona; son, Kenneth (Virginia) Kush of New Jersey; sister, Karen Schuster or Tucson, Ariz.; three grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
