Friends may call April 20 at the Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where visitation is from 7 to 9:30 a.m. and a Mass begins at 10 a.m. The family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by parents, Russell Kobayashi and Kathleen Carvalho Kobayashi, of Keaau; daughters, Jasmine Burcena, Ashley Burcena, Karley Burcena, Tiare Kobayashi, of Pahoa; son, Shayne Kobayashi Jr., of Pahoa; sisters, Kandylynn Kobayashi, Krystal Kobayashi, of Keaau; grandparents, Leilani Kobayashi, of Pahoa, Ronald and Annie Tai-See, of Keaau; companion, Barbie-Jo Rapoza, of Pahoa; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
