Gov. Neil Abercrombie released funding for projects at Kohala Hospital and Ke Kumu Ekolu. Kohala Hospital will receive $2.2 million for renovations and upgrades and Ke Kumu Ekolu, an affordable rental complex, will receive $1.2 million for construction costs for roofing and interior repair.

“Not only will the funding provide much-needed repairs, it will also stimulate our economy and create jobs,” Sen. Malama Solomon, D-North Hawaii, said Friday.
