Lynda May Valenzuela, 52, of Kealakekua died April 9, 2013. Born June 25, 1960, in Olympia, Wash., she was a licensed practical nurse.

A memorial will be held at 3:30 p.m. April 18 at Old Kona Airport Park. Family requests that those attending bring a dish and story to share.

She is survived by companion, Henry Matsuo of Kealakekua; daughter, Shawna (Dion) Greer of Anchorage, Alaska; son, Jeffrey (Lynn) Greer of Anchorage, Alaska; hanai daughter, Melissa (Jason) Meechan of Farmington, N.M.; sisters, Carolyn Schultz of Alleghany, Calif., Kathryn McCrary of Ocean View; brother, Edward (Katrina) Small of Windsor, Calif.; three grandsons; three granddaughters; numerous nieces and nephews.
