The Waimea Arts Council is presenting “The Art of Hula” exhibit, in honor of the Merry Monarch Festival, from Wednesday through April 27 in the Firehouse Gallery. Local artists’ artwork with a hula theme will be showcased in media including paintings, drawings, photographs, mixed media and ipu.

The Waimea Arts Council is presenting “The Art of Hula” exhibit, in honor of the Merry Monarch Festival, from Wednesday through April 27 in the Firehouse Gallery. Local artists’ artwork with a hula theme will be showcased in media including paintings, drawings, photographs, mixed media and ipu.

The Firehouse Gallery is located at 67-1201 Mamalahoa Highway. The gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, subject to docent availability.

The council is an all-volunteer organization that sponsors programs, exhibits and arts education.
