Julita Marcelina Fernandez, 64, of Kailua-Kona, died April 6 at her residence. Born in Honokaa on July 31, 1948, she was a retired bartender at the Courtyard Marriott King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel. She was also a member of the Kai O Pua Canoe Club, St. Michael’s Catholic Church and ILWU.

Friends may call at 4 p.m. April 12 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church at 74-574 Honokohau St. in Kailua-Kona, where Mass begins at 6 p.m. Scattering of her ashes will take place at noon April 13 in Kailua Bay. The family requests casual attire be worn.

She is survived by her son, Brian (Kerry Robitaille) Fernandez of Aina Haina, Oahu; daughter, Nicola (Keola Dudoit) Fernandez of Kailua-Kona; brothers, James (Evelyn) Fernandez of Hilo, Vincent (Jackie) Fernandez of Atlanta, Ga., Michael (Alana) Fernandez of Honokaa; sister, Carmelita (Jacinthe) Carvalho of Kohala; two grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
