Robert Takahashi

Robert Takemi Takahashi, 87, of Hilo died March 14, 2013, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Mountain View, he was a retired engineer with the Hale Koa Hotel on Oahu.

Friends may call at 3 p.m. April 13 at the Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 4 p.m. service, followed by cremation. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.

He is survived by sons, Terence (Iris) Takahashi of Honolulu, Ryan (Linda) Takahashi of Kapolei, Oahu; daughter, Robyn (Tracy) Nishimura of Alameda, Calif.; brothers, Masayoshi (Elaine) Takahashi and Norm Takahashi, both of Honolulu, Charles (Jeanette) Takahashi of Mililani, Oahu, Delbert (Yoon) Takahashi of Hawaii Kai, Oahu; sisters, Nobue Nakamura and Kim Yamagata, both of Honolulu, Fujiko (Wallace) Ogawa of Hawaii Kai, Oahu, Michiko Mau of Aiea, Oahu, Michelle (Mark) Older of Illinois; a granddaughter; a great-grandson; numerous nieces and nephews.
