Blane Aburamen

Blane Shigeru Aburamen, 54, of Hilo died March 22, 2013, at Hilo Medical Center. Born July 9, 1958, in Hilo, he was the proprietor of Blane’s Drive Inn, Freddy’s Restaurant and Drive-In and Manono Mini Mart; supporter of the Hilo Junior Golf Association and member of the Executive Golf Club, Kanoelehua Industrial Area Association, Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Hawaii and Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce.

Friends may call at 1 p.m. April 14 at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo for a 3 p.m. service, cremation follows. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by wife, Shane Aburamen of Hilo; son, Devan Aburamen of Hilo; daughter, Casey Aburamen of Hilo; mother, Betty Aburamen of Hilo; sisters, Phyllis (Kevin) Takei and Cathy (Lance) Miyasato, both of Hilo; numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.
