Jaime Vicente Del Rosario Sr., 90, of Kailua-Kona died March 7, 2013, at Kona Community Hospital. Born June 16, 1922, in Ilocos Sur, Philippines, he was a retired bell captain at the Ilikai Hotel and former Hyatt Regency at Waikoloa; a former sugar plantation worker; founder and member of the Filipino American Golf Club; co-founder and senior adviser of the statewide Hawaii Golf Council; founder, liason and team captain for the Hawaii Filipino American Golf Club; marathon runner; member of Knights of Columbus, St. Michael’s Catholic Church and Kailua-Kona’s Senior Citizens Group and Army and Hawaii National Guard veteran.

Friends may call at 8 a.m. April 13 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Kailua-Kona, for a 10 a.m. Mass. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by wife, Erlinda Del Rosario of Kailua-Kona; sons, Roger (Sue) Del Rosario of Ohio, Frederick (Patti) Del Rosario of Honolulu, Dante Del Rosario of Hilo, Justin Rojas of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Gloria (Chuck) Garner of Honolulu, Kahala (James) Cromwell of Hilo; stepdaughter, Sherry Lelchuck of California; sister, Shirley Del Rosario of Mililani, Oahu; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
