The Department of Transportation announced the following road closures this week in West Hawaii:
- On Mamalahoa Highway near Captain Cook, alternating lane closures in both directions between Kiloa Road and Rabbit Hill Road for slope stabilization work.
- On Mamalahoa Highway from Kaapuna to Kaohe, alternating lane closures in both directions between Waiea Road and Yee Hop Ranch Road for pavement resurfacing.
- On Mamalahoa Highway near Kainaliu, alternating lane closures in both directions between Haawina Street and St. Paul Road for slope stabilization work.
- On Mamalahoa Highway near Makalei, alternating single lane closures in both directions between Hina Lani Street/North Kona Belt Road and Old Kona Village Road for roadway reconstruction.

On Mamalahoa Highway in the vicinity of its new Saddle Road intersection, alternating lane closures in both directions near Kukui Camp and North Peck roads (south of the Waikoloa Road intersection) for roadway work.
