Yoshie Ogata, 88, of Kealakekua died March 16, 2013, at her residence. Born May 23, 1924, in Kealakekua, she was a retired cook for Kona Community Hospital and member of Kona Hongwanji Mission, Konawaena Kumiai and Kona Regional Senior Citizens.
Private services were held.
She is survived by son, Merton (Laurene) Ogata of Napoopoo; daughter, Sandy Yamasaki of Kealakekua; four grandsons; four great-grandsons; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
