The Hawaii Police Department received 911 calls Monday morning in response to an April Fools’ joke.
A local radio station falsely reported that Saddle Road was closed at mile marker 28 because of a lava flow. The false report was an April Fools’ Day prank, police said.
Saddle Road is open and there is no lava flow anywhere near that area, police said.
