Rosita Bareng Acia, 74, of Keaau died March 25, 2013, at home. Born Oct. 2, 1938, in Olaa, she was a retired cafeteria worker for Hilo High School.

Friends may call at 5 p.m. April 3 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 7 p.m. wake service. Friends may also call at 11:30 a.m. April 4 at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2 (Section A) for a graveside service. Family requests casual attire be worn. Flowers are welcome.

She is survived by sons, Anthony (Jeanine) Acia of Kurtistown, Joey Acia and Emelio Acia III, both of Keaau; daughter, Rose Rose of Kahului, Maui; brothers, Venancio (Judy) Laguisan and Ernest Laguisan, both of Oahu; sisters, Esther (James) Hodges of Dothen, Ala., Julieta Blufuss of Minnesota, Margaret Laguisan of Oahu; hanai sons, Jason Liwai and Shane Madriaga, both of Kurtistown; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
