James “Kimo” Anthony Mitchell, 47, of Napoopoo died March 15, 2013, at Kona Community Hospital. Born June 20, 1965, in Honolulu, he was a heavy equipment operator for Big Island Scrap Metal, worked at various bar outlets as a bar host and was a member of Ambassadors of Aloha.

Friends may call at 10 a.m. April 6 at Kahikolu Congregational Church in Napoopoo for an 11 a.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by brothers, Guy (Laura Mello) Mitchell of Kaneohe, Oahu, Victor (Candy) Chock of Mountain View, Glenn (Jo) Keohohou of Honolulu, Charles (Tita) Mitchell of Captain Cook; sisters, Donna (Paipai) Falemalu of Napoopoo, Debbie Mitchell of Kailua-Kona; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
