Hawaii Island police are investigating the theft of a tractor this weekend from a property along the Hamakua Coast.

Hawaii Island police are investigating the theft of a tractor this weekend from a property along the Hamakua Coast.

Sometime between 4:30 p.m. Friday and 8:20 a.m. Monday, a green John Deere front-end loader was removed from a property located just mauka of mile marker 20 on Highway 19 in Ninole, according to the Hawaii Police Department. The machine, equipped with a yellow Gearmore grass cutter, is valued at $39,000.
