Fiske’s hat collection on display at ranch

Anna Ranch Heritage Center is featuring a display of Anna Perry Fiske’s private hat collection through April. Creations by Ukraine born style icon and noted designer Irina Roublong, several one-of-a-kind hats by mid-20th century designer Frank Olive, plus hats designed by Miss Bierner, Sally Victor, Edna Wallace “Trikki,” Henry Pollack and more are on exhibit.

There is no charge to view the collection, although donations are appreciated. To combine the viewing with a tour of the historic home, the cost is $10 per person. Tours are at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. daily.

Online health care tool explained at lecture

Hawaii Island Beacon Community presents “The Changing Face of Health Care: Improving the doctor-patient relationship on the Big Island using Cozeva” from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Tutu’s House in Waimea.

Attendees at the free presentation will learn about Cozeva, a new communication system being used in doctors’ offices throughout Hawaii. Program Manager Scott Nakagawa will demonstrate how the free online service can help individuals and families become more engaged and improve their health care.

Participants may use computers at Tutu’s House or bring their own smartphones or laptops to get one-on-one training in using Cozeva.

People with disabilities meeting Wednesday

The mayor’s Committee on People with Disabilities meets at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the ADRC training room, 1055 Kinoole St., Hilo.

The meetings are open to the public. The agenda will be posted on the county’s website.
