Big Island police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 22-year-old Kona man wanted for questioning in connection with a sexual assault.

Big Island police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 22-year-old Kona man wanted for questioning in connection with a sexual assault.

William John Johnson, who has no permanent address, is also wanted on a $10,000 bench warrant in an unrelated case, according to the Hawaii Police Department. He may be in Kona or Waipio. He is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the department’s nonemergency line at 935-3311. Those who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 329-8181 in Kona or 961-8300 in Hilo. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
