Iwalani Marie Keanaaina, 24, of Kailua-Kona pleaded no contest Jan. 17 to driving under the influence of alcohol. She was sentenced to pay $937 in fines and fees, referred to a driver’s education course, ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment, and enter a substance abuse rehabilitation program.

Jeffrey Primo Marquez, 36, of Kona pleaded no contest Jan. 17 to driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to have no-fault motor vehicle insurance. He was sentenced to pay $1,134 in fines and fees, referred to a driver’s education course, ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment, and enter a substance abuse rehabilitation program. His license was also suspended.

Solomon James Dean, 29, of Kailua-Kona pleaded guilty Jan. 17 to driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a license suspended for a prior DUI and third-degree promoting a detrimental drug. He was sentenced to pay $754, in addition to an undisclosed fine, referred to a driver’s education course and ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment. He must also serve an unspecified amount of jail time and his license was revoked.

Roscoe L. Kailimai, 50, of Waimea pleaded guilty Jan. 17 to driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with an improper license. He was sentenced to pay $474 in fees, referred to a driver’s education course, ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment, and enter a substance abuse rehabilitation program. He must also serve an unspecified amount of jail time.

David S. Vendetti, 38, of Captain Cook pleaded no contest Jan. 17 to driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with an improper license. He was sentenced to pay $474 in fees, referred to a driver’s education course, ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment, and enter a substance abuse rehabilitation program. He must also serve an unspecified amount of jail time, perform an unspecified number of community service hours and his license was revoked.

Arthur Medina III, 32, of Kona pleaded guilty Dec. 20 to driving under the influence of alcohol. He was sentenced Jan. 22 to pay $437 in fees, in addition to an undisclosed fine, referred to a driver’s education course, ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment, and enter a substance abuse rehabilitation program.

Laura A. Berry, 54, of Kailua-Kona pleaded guilty Jan. 22 to driving under the influence of alcohol. She was sentenced to pay $937 in fines and fees, referred to a driver’s education course, ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment, and enter a substance abuse rehabilitation program.

She was sentenced Jan. 24 to pay $437 in fees, referred to a driver’s education course, ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment, and enter a substance abuse rehabilitation program. She must also perform an unspecified number of community service hours, and her license was revoked.

He was sentenced to pay $437 in fees, in addition to an undisclosed fine, referred to a driver’s education course, ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment, and enter a substance abuse rehabilitation program.

Craig James Schaefer, 59, of Kailua-Kona pleaded guilty Nov. 8 to driving under the influence of alcohol. He was sentenced Jan. 24 to pay $587 in fines and fees, referred to a driver’s education course, ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment, and enter a substance abuse rehabilitation program. His license was also revoked.

Jacob Frederick George Conroy, 25, of Kaneohe, Oahu, pleaded guilty Jan. 24 to driving under the influence of alcohol. He was sentenced to pay $437 in fees, in addition to an undisclosed fine, referred to a driver’s education course and ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment. He must also perform an unspecified number of community service hours.

Mark Andrew Deal, 32, of Kailua-Kona pleaded guilty Jan. 28 to driving under the influence of an intoxicant. He was sentenced to pay $687 in fines and fees, referred to a driver’s education course, ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment, and enter a substance abuse rehabilitation program.

Luana K. K. Sepulvida, 23, of Kona pleaded guilty Jan. 31 to driving under the influence of alcohol. She was sentenced to pay $312 in fees, referred to a driver’s education course, ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment, and enter a substance abuse rehabilitation program.

Xavier Eduardo Soto, 46, of Ocean View pleaded guilty Jan. 31 to driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a suspended or revoked license. He was sentenced to pay $449 in fees, referred to a driver’s education course and ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment. His license was also revoked and he must serve an unspecified amount of jail time.

Andrew Michael Thomson, 32, of Kailua-Kona pleaded no contest Jan. 31 to driving under the influence of alcohol. He was sentenced to pay $412 in fines and fees, referred to a driver’s education course, ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment, and enter a rehabilitation program.
