Elizabeth Paris Dunford

Elizabeth Paris Dunford, 85, of Kealakekua died March 15, 2013. She was born in Honolulu on September 6, 1927. Elizabeth worked as a social worker, middle school teacher and authored the book “Hawaiians of Old” used in Hawaiian schools. She was a member of the Christ Church Episcopal, Daughters of Hawaii, Hawaiian Mission Children’s Society, and was a former director of the Cooke Foundation and Family Support Services of Hawaii.

Friends are welcome for a memorial service at 3 p.m. at Christ Church Episcopal on March 22. Aloha attire is requested.

She is survived by son, Richard Dunford of Ahualoa; daughters Elizabeth (Alan Robinson) Dunford of Makaweli, Kauai; Dorothea (Harold) Brink of Lebanon, Ore.; four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
