c Hawaii 3, Syracuse 2 (12 innings): Pitching eight innings in relief, Kaia Parnaby set a single-game Hawaii record with 17 strikeouts, and Sharla Kliebenstein led off the bottom of the 12th with a walk-off homer as the Rainbow Wahine won the Chevron Spring Fling Tournament Saturday in Honolulu.
Parnaby, who pitched No. 20 Hawaii (22-7) to a 5-1 win over No. 19 Baylor earlier in the day, relieved Loie Kesterson in the fifth inning with the Rainbow Wahine trailing 1-0. She gave up just one hit and walked three batters, surrendering an unearned run in the fifth, when Shirley Daniels reached on an error and later scored from third on a wild pitch.
Hawaii tied the game in the bottom of the fifth, when Brynne Buchanan delivered a two-out single to center and walked home on Kelly Majam’s two-run homer.
Lindsay Taylor went the distance and took the loss for Syracuse (9-14). She gave up eight hits, striking out four batters and walking one.
Against the Bears (25-5), Parnaby (20-3) pitched her 21st complete game of the season, yielding a run on four hits. She struck out eight and walked none.
Majam broke a scoreless tie in the fifth with a two-run homer. The senior center fielder, who has nine homers this season, later drew a bases-loaded walk in a three-run sixth. Jazmine Zamora added an RBI single in the inning.

MEN’S VOLLEYBALL
c Cal Baptist def. Hawaii 25-14, 24-26, 23-25, 15-13: Levi Cabral and Guilherme Koepp had 21 kills apiece, and the 12th-ranked Lancers rallied from a two sets to one deficit to beat the No. 10 Warriors Saturday in Riverside, Calif.
Cabral added 11 digs and hit .472 for Cal Baptist (10-11, 7-9 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation), which outhit Hawaii .372 to .319. With the Lancers leading 14-13 in Game 5, Cabral pounded home a kill to end the match.
Sinisa Zarkovic led Hawaii (7-14, 6-12) with 15 kills and nine digs but hit just .216.
Brooke Sedore added 14 kills with a .481 hitting percentage, and Jace Olsen had 10 kills and hit .474.
With Game 2 tied at 24, Sedore and Zarkovic recorded back-to-back kills. Olsen ended Game 3 with a kill.
