Wallace Edwin Botelho, 81, of Halaula died March 1 at Kohala Hospital. Born in Kapaau on Feb. 4, 1932, he was a former carpenter for Kohala Sugar Plantation, a ranch supervisor for Stillman Ranch in Kaauhuhu Homestead and a retired DAGS maintenance man for the State of Hawaii. He was a lifelong elder and member of the Kohala Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Friends may call at 8 a.m. Sunday, March 17 at the Kohala Seventh Day Adventist Church in Hawi for a 10:30 a.m. memorial service; inurnment to follow in the church’s cemetery. The family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Botelho of Halaula; sons, John (Merlyn) Botelho of Hawi, Paul (Robin) Botelho of North Carolina, Joseph (Joni) Botelho of Arizona, James Botelho of Connecticut; brother, Benjamin Botelho of Halaula; sister Sharon Botelho of Halaula; brother-in-law, Bob Morikawa of Honolulu; sister-in-law, Bonnie Botelho of Halaula; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
