Olsen struck out six and walked two for the Bulldogs (8-4-1), who got RBI singles from Mitchell Gunsolus and Brock Slavin to take a 2-0 lead in the top of the third.
Slavin, Cabe Reiten and Clayton Eslick each had two hits.
MacDonald, who pitched the Warriors (1-14) to its only win of the season, took the loss. He gave up two runs on six hits, striking out two and walking two.
Kaeo Aliviado drove in Hawaii’s lone run with an RBI groundout in the bottom of the third.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Hawaii 53, Cal-State Fullerton 43: Kamilah Martin had 18 points and 12 rebounds, and Hilo High alum Vicky Tagalicod added 11 points Saturday at Stan Sheriff Center as the Rainbow Wahine won their Big West regular-season finale.
Shawna-Lei Kuehu chipped in 10 points and five rebounds for Hawaii (17-12, 13-5 Big West), which shot just 33 percent from the field but held the Titans to just 24 percent shooting.
The Rainbow Wahine, who also shot just 48 percent (12 of 25) from the free-throw line, trailed 22-18 at halftime but started the second half with a 10-2 run to take control.
Chante Miles led Cal-State Fullerton (9-21, 5-13) with 12 points and six rebounds, and Mya Olivier had 10 points and eight rebounds.

SOFTBALL
Hawaii 8, East Carolina 0: Kaia Parnaby pitched a one-hit shutout for her second complete game of the day while Kelly Majam, Kayla Wartner and Leisha Liilii homered in a four-run fifth inning for the Rainbow Wahine Saturday in Honolulu.
Parnaby struck out eight and walked one, with Kristi Oshiro, a Mililani graduate, lacing a double to left-center for East Carolina’s only hit.
Liilii finished 2-for-3 with four RBIs as Hawaii improved to 16-5.
Sarah Christian, who gave up two earned runs on four hits in two innings, took the loss for the Pirates (8-13).
Earlier in the day, Parnaby pitched a complete-game six hitter as the Rainbow Wahine defeated Portland State 8-3.
Parnaby struck out seven and walked one.
Kayla Wartner’s bases-loaded triple in the fifth gave the Rainbow Wahine a 7-2 advantage, while Keiki Carlos and Jessica Iwata each drove in two runs.
Anna Bertrand, who also went the distance in the circle, took the loss for Portland State (6-17). She gave up eight runs — four earned — on seven hits, striking out seven and walking eight.
Lauran Bliss hit a two-run homer off Parnaby in the fourth.

Hawaii def. USC 24-26, 21-25, 25-22, 26-24, 15-9: Brooke Sedore and Sinisa Zarkovic each pounded 16 kills, and Joby Ramos had 47 assists as No. 11 Hawaii rallied from two sets down to beat No. 13 USC and end a four-match losing streak.
Trailing 24-21 in the fourth set, Hawaii reeled off five straight points, getting kills from Zarkovic, Sedore and Jace Olsen. Sedore ended the set with an ace.
Zarkovic hit .452 for the Warriors (6-12, 5-10 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation).
Tanner Johnson led USC (4-10, 4-10) with 20 kills, and Joey Booth added 19.
